Hi, I'm Alexis (Lex), and I have an INCREDIBLE rescue pup named Larry—and an equally amazing fiancé, Lou!

Larry means the world to us. He is an 11-year-old, 65lb. rescue mix who loves relaxing at home and howling every night at 6pm when he hears our local fire station test their sirens. Larry is a HUGE foodie, so we use lots of enrichment tools to keep his brain sharp! He eats a fresh and natural diet because we believe dogs should eat the diet nature intended.

Unfortunately, Larry has been dealing with hind leg issues, including hip dysplasia and a neurological condition. I am doing everything possible to keep him happy and comfortable, and I can assure you that he is still full of SO much life. While his walking isn't great, he gets around just fine and is as happy as ever. I’ll be documenting our journey and invite you to follow along with us!

Lou has also become such an important part of our life and has been with me every step of the way on Larry’s journey. He’s been my rock, my cheerleader, and my teammate in giving Larry the best life possible. Now, we’re taking the next step in our own journey—we’re getting married!

When I’m not hanging out with Larry, creating content, or writing blogs, you can find me bowling with Lou, rock climbing, watching football, or reading. I have a Master of Science in Psychology and hold Pet Food Nutrition from Dogs Naturally and Canine Nutrition certifications from the Feed Real Institute.
